The intricacy of God’s plan and the way He intertwines our lives never ceases to amaze me! Today I get to show off the wedding of dear friends of ours that in many ways, this little Kansas girl never should have met. So thankful I did.
Nate and Sara’s wedding weekend was my first time in Owen Sound. The area was so beautiful! I especially loved the cottage the ladies were getting ready in.
The men got ready at Nate’s parents’ home – also beautiful! Lush green and gardens, a rustic barn, and look at the beautiful handmade table (below)!
This was a private moment…but there were a multitude of spectators through the closed doors. After the ceremony, Nate played a favorite song on the piano for Sara. I love that they took the time to enjoy together, just the two of them!
I want you to know, these are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet. Kind, gentle, helpful, encouraging….I feel like you can see all of that in this photo.
Such a fun reception – as you can see! Though I’m not personally Dutch, I married a Dutch Canadian and have so LOVED getting to attend a number of these weddings. The skits and hilarity that they come up with makes for the most fun and laughter-filled receptions I have ever been to.
Congratulations Nate and Sara! Though you’re farther from Ottawa, I do hope you visit often. You are loved and missed here, but we are so excited for you as you begin your happily married life together!
