My specialty is definitely portraits. That’s because I delight in meeting people, learning their stories, and seeing life through their eyes. When I photograph people, I love, well, the “feels”. But this farm… talk about emotions!
This farm is really special to me and to many others who have gotten to enjoy it over the years! No, it’s not where I grew up. Not exactly, anyway. This is where my best friend/cousin/practically-sister lived. You better believe I spent a lot of time here!
Welcome to the Lyon’s farm! My mother’s cousin, Rita, grew up on this property. This family farm is near and dear to both her siblings and to the following generation that was raised there, her three daughters. As a birthday gift, her children offered her a photoshoot to document the farm. I’m so honored to be the photographer!
How many times were these fences climbed and basketballs shot through this hoop?
A prime attraction at the farm: the very cutest kittens. Always.
Bob and Rita have done such a beautiful job landscaping, adding so much charm and making it easy to appreciate this lovely place!
Of course, I can’t help but do a few portraits, especially since this is Bob & Rita’s 30th anniversary year!!
I want to thank you both for having me around allllllll the time and putting up our crazy shenanigans. I know so many other people are thankful for your love and hospitality as well. God has blessed you richly with a beautiful, warm and welcoming home!
Laura, these are wonderful! Thank you so much! Having you do the photoshoot made it even more special. Gee. I guessed we matched little more than I realized, but that’s okay. 🙂
Wonderful memories portrayed, so you will especially remember your 30th anniversary year. Congrats to all who put this together!
